Responsibilities
- Participate in industry compensation surveys, including job matching within survey databases, and analyze results to ensure internal roles are aligned with appropriate external benchmarks and remain market competitive
- Assist in the administration and ongoing maintenance of compensation programs, including base pay structures, salary grades, and job classifications
- Review and maintain accurate job descriptions; support job evaluations and assess positions to determine exempt or nonexempt classifications in compliance with applicable regulations
- Provide compensation guidance and support to HR partners, recruiters, and hiring managers related to job offers, salary adjustments, and compensation inquiries.
- Support the annual merit increase process, including data preparation, analysis, and implementation activities
- Assist in monitoring compensation trends and regulatory considerations and support the implementation of best practices under guidance from senior compensation leadership
- Assist with the administration of incentive and variable pay programs
- Respond to employee inquiries related to compensation in a timely and professional manner
- Support compensation-related projects, audits, system updates, vendor coordination, and benchmarking efforts
- Stay informed on compensation trends, regulatory considerations, and best practices, and assist with implementation as appropriate
- Provide analytical, administrative, and implementation support for compensation initiatives and other HR projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
- Advanced level Excel skills required, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll or compensation-related systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain compensation concepts clearly
- Ability to act as an effective business partner and handle confidential information with discretion
