Summary:
Assist the secondary school principal in the areas of instructional leadership and supervision, curriculum development, staff development, after-school programming, and discipline referrals.
Qualifications:
- Virginia teaching license with endorsement in Administration and Supervision Pre-K – 12 or eligibility for such
- 3 year minimum of successful teaching experience, preferably at the high school level
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional practices and curriculum development
- Ability to build positive school culture through cultivation of positive relationships
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators
Salary:
Range based on the 2025-2026 Assistant Principal Salary Scale for 5 - 8 grades is $90,000 - $138,598; for 9 - 12 grades is $95,000 - $146,298. The salary scales may be adjusted based on the 2026-2027 School Board budget.
