Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for toddler -aged children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child's individual needs and development
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate special events or programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with toddler-aged children in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with literacy education, early intervention, and special education strategies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques
- Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons, manage classroom materials, and maintain records
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
