What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse and Delivery Driver - Brunswick Branch position at Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia?
Full time permanent position, M-F 7:00AM - 3:30 PM, local driving within a 8 county area and warehouse labor responsibilities. You must have previous delivery driving experience in a 26 foot box truck or larger and be able to prove you are good at backing up to tight loading docks. Warehouse work experience is also highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and professionally drive Food Bank reefer box truck to make product pickups at grocery stores and donor locations and deliveries to non-profit partners, schools and affiliate food banks.
- Maintain accurate records by completing all required procedures and forms to ensure the smooth operation of the Food Bank.
- Warehouse receiving, order picking and staging, loading and unloading and assisting with maintaining inventory.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility for the smooth operation of the Food Bank.
- Assist with the moving and placement of furniture and equipment when needed.
- Assist other staff members, when appropriate, with moving or distributing inventory, equipment, or vehicles.
- Maintain appropriate documentation to keep driver's license and DOT physical card current.
- Operate all warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
Do you have?
- High School or GED.
- Minimum one year of demonstrated and successful experience driving a 26 ft box truck and the ability to safely back into loading docks.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Good driving record. We will pull your MVR to make sure you can be added to our fleet insurance policy.
- Above average oral and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
- Planning and organization skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and outgoing personality.
- Ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pre-employment drug screen, clean driving history and criminal background check required. Deliveries are also made to child care facilities requiring a fingerprint screening, all felony convictions and some misdemeanors are not permitted per state regulations.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
