Job Overview
The Financial Manager plays a key role in supporting the mission of Second Harvest Food Bank by providing financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting that drive informed decision-making. This role ensures the organization’s resources are managed effectively to maximize impact across South Louisiana. The Financial Manager works closely with the Finance team, executive leadership, program leaders, and development staff to provide accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including budget vs. actuals.
- Partner with department leaders to monitor program budgets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to assist with strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Assist the Finance and Grant Manager with tracking restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and donor intent.
- Assist with preparing financial reports for grantors, funders, and key stakeholders.
- Work with Development and Program teams to forecast expenses and revenue for grant-funded initiatives.
- Assist the Data Analyst as needed with developing dashboards and KPIs to monitor financial health and program efficiency.
- Present financial results and trends in a clear, actionable format for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial staff.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support decision-making on programs, operations, and fundraising initiatives.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data in accounting and reporting systems.
- Support the annual external audit.
- Collaborate with auditors during annual financial and compliance audits.
- Assist in other SHFB responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in finance, business, accounting, or a related field required.
Experience: Three to five years of experience in financial analysis or accounting. Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
