Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Summer AmeriCorps Team. Duties:
- Assist with planning and implementing community service projects
- Collaborate with team members to develop and execute project goals
- Participate in training sessions to enhance leadership and communication skills
- Document project progress and outcomes for reporting purposes
- Members prepare for and hand out food at distributions throughout our service area
- Serve meals at sites
- Monitor for site compliance with federal and state rules
- Complete necessary paperwork for the food bank to claim reimbursement for the meals distributed
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid Drivers License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment

A good candidate to be an AmeriCorps Member would be someone that cares about their community and likes to do service work. A member should have resiliency and a sense of urgency to meet the needs of their neighbors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to build their resume with service experience for college or scholarships. You receive a living stipend while you serve and earn an education award to help pay for college or pay off federal student loans. This is a Full Time 50-week contract that would include a Living allowance of $21,000 paid out bi-weekly, an Education Allowance of $7595, paid health insurance, and a child care benefit. Additional incentive pay possible.
