We’re Hiring a  Part-Time Baker at Second Daughter!
 
The purposed schedule for this job is 
 Thursday 6am-3pm
 Friday- 8am- 4pm

Second Daughter is a small but mighty bakery rooted in community, creativity, and care. We’re looking for a kind, go-getter full-time baker who’s excited to grow with us.

A solid foundation in pastry and prep, with experience in a professional kitchen or bakery

• Comfortable scaling recipes and working cleanly and efficiently
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• A calm presence, especially in high-energy or high-pressure moments
• Willing to jump in wherever needed: from mixing cake batter to shaping cookies to helping with dishes
• Great with customers and team members alike

Bonus (but not required):

• Experience with bread-making or laminated doughs
• Familiarity with market baking or high-volume production

What you’ll do:

• Mix, shape, and bake a variety of pastries
•  Production baking 
•  Making fillings, frostings, 
• Prepare baked goods – Mix, bake, and decorate breads, pastries, and cakes.

• Follow recipes – Ensure consistency and quality.

• Manage inventory – Track ingredients and reorder supplies.

• Maintain cleanliness – Follow hygiene and food safety standards.

• Prep ingredients, scale recipes, and support daily production
•  Interacting with customers at pick-up or markets

This is a hands-on role with room to grow. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to be part of a small team, contribute ideas, and help us make something special every day.

This role is well-suited for someone who can take direction, show initiative, and adapt quickly. Bakers often work in dynamic environments where following instructions, thinking ahead, and adjusting to changing demands are key to success.
