What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Technician position at Second Chance SPCA?
Tuesday, Fridays and Sundays needed.
Second Chance SPCA is Plano’s prime no-kill adoption center for dogs and cats. We are looking for RELIABLE, responsible adult for up to five days per week, 7:00 AM to when finished. Prior kennel experience is not required, but preferred.
Candidates should be hard-working, punctual, and comfortable handling cats and dogs of all sizes. He/she will bring a positive attitude and be dependable and mature.
Candidates should also be capable of working with little supervision, must be in good physical health and at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma preferred.
The responsibilities include:
-Thorough cleaning of dog runs and cat condos
-Morning feeding of approximately 18-22 dogs and 8-10 cats
-Cleaning office area
-Cleaning play yards
-Administering medicines
-Occasional transport to vet appointments
-Assisting with animals being picked up for vetting
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
