What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equine Care Team Member position at Second Chance Saddlebreds?
A highly regarded local barn and rescue facility is seeking several experienced horse-loving individuals to assist with morning, afternoon, and/or evening shifts.
Morning and evening responsibilities include:
- Preparing meals and medications for a herd of small and large horses with specialized nutritional needs
- Picking stalls, refilling water, distributing hay, preparing and serving dinner
- Conducting safety and well-being checks
- Securing and closing the facility for the night
Staff members will have the opportunity to work in an operation known for seven-day-a-week full-day turnout, exceptional care standards, and professional training for all horses—all within a beautifully maintained facility and grounds. You will also have the chance to work with and support a highly respected, internationally recognized trainer who oversees the program.
These shifts are ideal for individuals seeking a few hours at a time rather than full-time employment.
