Job Description
This is a cross-trained position for both the thrift store and animal shelter.
The thrift store attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and processing inventory donated by the public. Their role includes ensuring customer satisfaction, building strong relationships, resolving issues, providing accurate information about our store and shelter, as well as inventory management.
The shelter attendant ensures the daily care, feeding, and cleanliness of sheltered animals while managing kennel sanitation, exercising animals, and assisting with adoptions. They monitor animal health and behavior, report illness, and provide customer service to the public. This role requires physical stamina, compassion, and the ability to handle stressed or injured animals safely.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accomodation.
- Flexible schedule (call ins).
- Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats.
