Strong past performance working with Linux virtual machines and strong administrator background to provide system, application and network administration. We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our dynamic team. Candidates with the following past performance will be a strong fit for this role. Strong past performance working with Linux virtual machines and strong administrator background to provide system, application and network administration. Brief Outline of Responsibilities:
- Create and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
- Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches
- Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
- Handles regular system backups and periodically test backups for functionality
- Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administrative support.
- Perform maintenance including software upgrades, patch installs, system tests, and other scheduled operations
- Perform system backups and recovery
- Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to the operating system, hardware, network, and related software
- Troubleshoot server issues
- Administer customer accounts
- Deploy applications and tools
- Assist with escalated customer tickets
- Installation and cabling of equipment
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
- 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs of similar scope, type and complexity. 5 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of direct and/or related System Administrator work experience with Linux command line (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon, Linux or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Federal, NSA, IC, and DoD Information Security regulations, publications, and policy
- DoD 8570 compliance with Security certification
- Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tools
- Experience with IPv4 networking
- Experience with PKI server certificates
- Experience with SAN storage solutions of any kind (EMC, NetApp or Quantum is a plus)
- Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
- Scripting experience (Python/Perl)

Salary : $155,000 - $175,000
