We’re a fast-paced cross-dock logistics organization dedicated to delivering operational excellence and exceptional service across multiple locations. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Generalist to support our Texas operations and play a key role in strengthening our people, culture, and safety programs.
Position Overview
The HR Generalist will be based primarily at our Fort Worth facility, with a few days each week spent at our Garland location. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional skilled in employee relations, organizational development, recruiting, and benefits administration, with a strong focus on safety leadership and compliance.
The HR Generalist will partner closely with local management and report directly to the Director of Human Resources based in Atlanta, GA.

The HR Generalist will partner closely with local management and report directly to the Director of Human Resources based in Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR partner for employees and leadership at both locations, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Manage the full-cycle onboarding process for all new hires, including dock employees and supervisors, ensuring a smooth transition and consistent experience.
- Oversee safety programs by ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards (OSHA, DOT, etc.).
- Evaluate and update safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Conduct and facilitate training (on-the-job and classroom) on HR, compliance, and safety topics.
- Enforce and support company safety initiatives and ensure employee behavior aligns with safety expectations.
- Serve as the primary contact for all safety-related incidents and coordinate accident investigations, reporting, and follow-up.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and ensure OSHA recordkeeping compliance.
- Support payroll processing as the backup processor; ensure accuracy in wage and hour compliance and payroll tax principles.
- Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), COBRA) and serve as the main liaison with benefit vendors.
- Assist with recruiting, employee engagement initiatives, and HR communications.
- Partner with leadership on employee development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Human Resources, related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Professional in Human Resources® (HRCI PHR®) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM CP®) certification, preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, OSHA, and workers’ compensation requirements.
- Proven experience managing safety programs and employee training.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll platforms.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills; able to travel regularly between Fort Worth and Garland.
- Benefits administration experience
- Knowledge of freight operations and production management a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, Spanish speaking is a plus.
