Position Overview
The Warehouse Associate supports day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring materials and products are accurately received, stored, and shipped. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient order fulfillment, contributing to operational reliability, and supporting customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming stock, including unloading, inspection, and documentation.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations, maintaining order and accessibility.
- Pick, pack, wrap, label, and prepare customer orders for delivery or shipment according to schedule.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Perform inventory controls, cycle counts, and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, optimizing space utilization.
- Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety concerns promptly.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with warehouse practices, methods, and safety standards.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems, databases, or inventory software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
- Valid forklift license or ability to obtain certification within designated timeframe.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Lean or 5S practices for warehouse organization and efficiency.
- Knowledge of ERP or advanced warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience with international shipping and customs documentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
