We are seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in corporate law and estate planning to join our growing practice. You'll collaborate with senior attorneys, advise clients on a wide range of legal matters, draft complex legal documents, and play an integral role in delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities
- Advise clients on business formation, governance, succession planning, and general corporate matters.
- Prepare and structure business entities, including drafting operating agreements, bylaws, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, and other governance documents.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), compliance documents, business filings, corporate records, and other transactional documents.
- Conduct legal research, due diligence, and analysis related to corporate transactions, business operations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance matters.
- Prepare closing documents and coordinate business transactions from start to finish.
- Meet with clients to understand their goals, provide practical legal advice, and develop customized legal strategies.
- Draft comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related documents.
- Counsel clients regarding wealth preservation, business succession planning, charitable giving, retirement planning considerations, and other estate planning strategies.
- Utilize WealthCounsel software to prepare estate planning documents (preferred but not required).
- Maintain accurate, organized client files and ensure timely communication with clients and team members.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to provide exceptional client service and ensure matters are handled efficiently.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Kansas and/or Missouri, or the ability to become licensed promptly.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing corporate/business law and estate planning.
- Experience drafting transactional and estate planning documents with minimal supervision.
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using WealthCounsel is preferred but not required.
