Seck Advisor Group is a boutique investment banking firm that advises privately held companies on the sale of their businesses. We partner directly with founders, entrepreneurs, and executives on confidential sell-side M&A transactions across a range of industries.

As a lean advisory firm, our team members gain direct exposure to the full transaction process from financial analysis and preparation of marketing materials to buyer outreach and deal execution.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven and analytical Investment Banking Analyst to support active sell-side M&A engagements. This role combines financial analysis, transaction marketing, and strategic buyer outreach. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data while also engaging directly with corporate acquirers and private equity investors.

You will work closely with senior advisors and company owners, gaining hands-on experience in the full lifecycle of M&A transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Transaction Materials

  • Analyze company financial statements and operating performance
  • Assist with valuation analysis and transaction positioning
  • Develop Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and other transaction marketing materials
  • Prepare teasers, buyer presentations, and deal summaries
  • Translate financial data into compelling narratives for potential acquirers

Strategic Buyer Identification & Outreach

  • Research and identify potential strategic buyers and private equity firms
  • Build targeted buyer lists based on acquisition strategy and industry fit
  • Conduct outreach to executives, corporate development teams, and investors via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Qualify buyer interest and coordinate next steps in the transaction process

Buyer Pipeline & Deal Management

  • Manage NDA execution and buyer communications
  • Track buyer engagement and deal activity through CRM and internal systems
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach and follow-up activity
  • Ensure consistent follow-up with interested buyers throughout the process

Market & Industry Research

  • Conduct research on industry trends, acquisition strategies, and recent M&A transactions
  • Monitor relevant deal activity and market developments
  • Support the development of targeted buyer strategies for each engagement

Transaction Execution Support

  • Assist senior bankers in managing active sell-side transactions
  • Coordinate buyer inquiries and diligence requests
  • Support the progression of deals toward successful closing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, private equity sourcing, or business development
  • Strong financial analysis and presentation skills
  • Ability to prepare professional materials in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Comfortable initiating conversations with executives and investors
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interest in investment banking, private equity, and M&A transactions

Compensation & Upside

Base Salary: $70,000 – $110,000 depending on experience

In addition to base salary, this role participates directly in successful transactions: share of the firm’s transaction fee paid at closing

This structure allows strong performers to significantly increase earnings as deals close.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
