About the Role:
The Production Supervisor plays a key role in driving the day-to-day manufacturing activities to ensure customer requirements are met. This role will partner closely with cross-functional leaders in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, New Product Development Engineering, Facilities, Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE), and Human Resources to drive and sustain safety, productivity, efficiency, and profitability at Secant Group. What you will do:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day manufacturing activities during assigned shift, providing direct oversight and support to manufacturing employees while promoting a safety-first work environment.
- Actively support production operations within the department, including performing hands-on work as needed to maintain workflow and meet production targets.
- Monitor production to ensure products are manufactured within established specifications and quality standards and remain on schedule with the Master Production Schedule.
- Ensure accurate documentation, production reporting, and transaction entry in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in coordinating labor and resources within the department to maintain efficient production flow and minimize downtime.
- Escalate operational issues, equipment concerns, or production risks to management when necessary.
- Ensure operators are completing required quality checks, documentation, and inspections according to work instructions and company procedures.
- Provide daily direction, coaching, and guidance to manufacturing employees to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Support the training of employees on work instructions, safety procedures, and quality expectations.
- Communicate shift performance, issues, and production updates to management and the incoming shift.
- Enforce PPE requirements, including hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection where required.
- Ensure compliance with gowning procedures in designated areas.
- Promote and maintain adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and safe work practices.
Who you are:
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum of 1 year experience leading a team and/or having direct reports.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing operations, including the ability to support a production schedule and re-assign resources to maintain Operational Efficiency.
- Knowledge of machine operations that pertain to Textile or related field
- Possess knowledge of ISO 13485, 9001, and GMP practices or possess the ability to understand and enforce the practices.
- Ability to follow and make recommendations and changes to Work Instructions (WIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Knowledge of ERP systems and the manufacturing workflow.
- Considerable working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to present on a one-to-one basis and to small groups
