Position: Account Manager (Landscape / Horticulture Focus)
Location: Bolingbrook
Type: Full-time, field office role (client-facing, outdoor sites, plants hardscapes)

What You’ll Be Doing
You will act as the key client-partner and green-industry expert for your assigned accounts. Specifically you will:
- Manage & nurture client relationships — Serve as the face of Sebert to your clients; lead client meetings, site walkthroughs, and ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Sell enhancements & hardscape/plant solutions — Use your knowledge of plants, materials, hardscapes and sustainable practices to identify and present upgrade opportunities, and close enhancement work.
- Collaborate with our field team — Work closely with supervisors, crews, branch leadership and production to execute agreed-scope work with quality, on budget and on schedule.
- Ensure sustainability and horticultural integrity — Leverage your plant/hardscape knowledge and sustainable practices to maintain and enhance landscapes consistent with our mission.
- Drive results — Meet metrics for account retention, enhancement revenue, new business growth and margin performance.
Who We’re Looking For
We want someone who brings the following:
- Green-industry experience — Minimum of 2-5 years (or more) working in landscape/horticulture/hardscapes (ideally commercial or maintenance enhancement work). For example, familiarity with plants, shrubs, trees, pest/disease, hardscape materials, installation/maintenance practices.
- Client-facing excellence — You are comfortable meeting with clients, guiding walk-throughs, presenting ideas, and building long-term trusted relationships.
- Sales & enhancement mindset — You can proactively identify opportunities, prepare proposals, present to clients, and drive value (for both client and company).
- Operations collaboration — You can communicate with production, understand field constraints, follow through on promises, manage issues and ensure contracts are fulfilled.
- Valid driver’s license — Required, as you will be visiting sites and driving between properties.
- Commitment to sustainability & quality — You understand the value of doing things right, caring for the landscape ecosystem, and building for the long term.
Nice-to-Haves (but not strictly required)
- Hardscape installation or estimating experience
- Horticulture certification or degree
- Familiarity with landscape material estimating or CRM/estimating software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or additional language skills
- Experience in commercial portfolio/account management
