Position Summary
Bohemian Esoterica is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to perform advanced aesthetic procedures using Cartessa energy-based devices, including CO₂ laser resurfacing and RF microneedling. This role is suited for a highly competent provider who practices with clinical autonomy under an established physician supervision or collaboration agreement, consistent with California scope-of-practice laws.
The provider will independently evaluate patients, deliver treatments, and manage care within approved protocols, without routine on-site supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform aesthetic procedures using CO₂ laser and RF microneedling (Cartessa platform) in accordance with California scope of practice
- Conduct patient consultations, evaluations, and treatment planning
- Obtain informed consent and determine procedural candidacy
- Independently carry out treatments within established protocols
- Manage pre- and post-procedure care and routine follow-up
- Recognize and escalate complications appropriately per protocol
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation
- Adhere to all laser safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the supervising/collaborating physician as required
- Uphold the clinical, ethical, and aesthetic standards of the practice
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted California license as:
- Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Registered Nurse (RN) under supervision*
- Eligible to perform laser and energy-based aesthetic procedures under a physician supervision or collaboration agreement
- Demonstrated experience in procedural or aesthetic medicine
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently within protocols
- Professional, patient-centered communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hands-on experience with:
- CO₂ laser resurfacing
- RF microneedling
- Other energy-based aesthetic devices
- Aesthetic, dermatologic, plastic surgery, or procedural background
- Cartessa device experience (preferred but not required)
- Formal laser safety and manufacturer training (or willingness to complete)

- Established treatment protocols and physician agreement in place
