Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, creating a positive first impression
- Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently, accommodating special requests and ensuring smooth flow of service
- Operate POS systems
- Handle all cash and credit card transactions with precision, maintaining balanced registers at shift end
- Provide exceptional guest service by answering questions, offering menu recommendations, and addressing concerns with professionalism
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and cashier area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate seating, reservations, and service flow
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when taking reservations or answering inquiries via phone or online channels
- Assist in guest relations by ensuring timely service, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Support food service operations as needed, including assisting servers during busy periods or with guest requests
Experience
- Prior experience as a Host or Host in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude above all else
- Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Background in hospitality or hotel guest services enhances your ability to deliver outstanding guest experiences
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with guests and team members effectively
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving protocols, and phone etiquette will help you excel in this role
- Previous customer service experience demonstrates your ability to handle diverse guest needs with professionalism and care
