Hostess Cashier

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, creating a positive first impression
• Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently, accommodating special requests and ensuring smooth flow of service
• Operate POS systems
• Handle all cash and credit card transactions with precision, maintaining balanced registers at shift end
• Provide exceptional guest service by answering questions, offering menu recommendations, and addressing concerns with professionalism
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and cashier area, adhering to health and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate seating, reservations, and service flow
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when taking reservations or answering inquiries via phone or online channels
• Assist in guest relations by ensuring timely service, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Support food service operations as needed, including assisting servers during busy periods or with guest requests

Experience

• Prior experience as a Host or Host in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude above all else
• Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Background in hospitality or hotel guest services enhances your ability to deliver outstanding guest experiences
• Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with guests and team members effectively
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving protocols, and phone etiquette will help you excel in this role
• Previous customer service experience demonstrates your ability to handle diverse guest needs with professionalism and care

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
