Job Summary
The EMT-Paramedic reports to the Director of EMS and is responsible for providing emergency medical care and patient transportation. Duties include operating and maintaining ambulances, equipment, facilities, and medical supplies. The incumbent utilizes advanced life support skills in accordance with paramedic certification standards, Arkansas State Board of Health regulations, Medical Director Standing Orders, equipment operating manuals, and departmental policies and procedures. Work is performed with considerable independence and minimal supervision.
Minimum Entry Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED (general education degree) or equivalent is required.
- Certification as an EMT-Paramedic is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of experience as an EMT-Paramedic is required.
