Lead Extractor

As the Lead Extractor, you are an important member of the SeaWeed Co. Team. In this role, you will be working as part of the Extraction Team, helping to lead daily operations of both BHO and Solventless processing. You will participate in producing a wide range of Cannabis oils and concentrates using a closed loop hydrocarbon extraction system, as well as work within our Hash Lab to produce a full line of Rosin products. You will perform all post processing operations as needed and work closely with the team to ensure production goals are met and toll client projects are completed in a timely manner.

You will report to the Extraction Manager, with direction also provided by the Senior Product Production Manager. You will work collaboratively with the Assistant Production Managers and support other areas of the manufacturing facility as-needed.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Extraction Manager and Senior Product Production Manager, plan production runs and schedule extraction team members time to ensure production goals and monthly budgets are met.
• Produce a wide variety of Cannabis oils and concentrates using the following methods, including but not limited to:
• Running a closed loop hydrocarbon ETS extractor
• Solventless Extraction within our Hash Lab using Low Temp equipment
• Wipe Film Distillation
• Post processing for all product types
• Centrifuge
• Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) specifically and consistently during the processing of all products, providing feedback to leadership when updates need to be made
• Routinely inspect each batch for quality control and follow testing procedures in collaboration with Assistant Production Managers
• Maintain data on extraction input, yield, labor and materials used, working in collaboration with Assistant Production Manager to properly account for consumption within METRC and Dutchie (systems of record)
• Perform research development as needed and requested by leadership to test potential new techniques that may increase efficiency or cost effectiveness, as well as potential items that may enhance the overall assortment.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, participating in daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks that minimize the risk of cross contamination and testing failures.
• Understand and follow all safety protocols, wearing proper PPE at all times.
• Support equipment upkeep and maintenance as needed
• Ensure equipment, materials and supplies are available and prepared prior to each shift
• Mentor, motivate and provide direction and feedback to team members assigned to extraction duties regarding their performance.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of management regarding day to day business
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age
• Reliable transportation
• Individual Identification Card and Registry Identification Card issued by the Office of Cannabis Policy of Maine
• Experience with closed loop BHO extraction
• Experience with solventless extraction/Rosin production
• Experience in cannabis concentrate manufacturing; live resin cart oil, diamonds, badder
• Experience with distillate production (wipe film or centrifuge)
• Demonstrated mechanical expertise or certifications is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to set standards and hold team members accountable
• Ability to work between the hours of 8am and 8pm, Monday through Friday, with a rotating schedule as business dictates
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50-lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8-hours daily) and push, pull, bend

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
