What You'll Do

As the HR Specialist, you will support many of the day-to-day functions that keep our workforce engaged and our Human Resources operations running smoothly, including:

• Coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug testing, credential verification, and new hire documentation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files in compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
• Track employee certifications, licenses, mandatory training, and renewal deadlines.
• Coordinate annual compliance training and continuing education records.
• Support employee recognition, appreciation, wellness, and engagement initiatives.
• Assist with planning employee events and recognition programs.
• Manage employee housing assignments, move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and related documentation.
• Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment processes.
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Support recruitment activities as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to continuously improve the employee experience.

• Strong in written and verbal communication
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and HR information systems
• Passionate about supporting employees and fostering a positive workplace culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of Human Resources, administrative, or employee support experience preferred.
• Experience with personnel records, compliance, credential tracking, or employee relations is highly desirable.
• Experience in healthcare or nonprofit organizations is a plus.
