Role Description The Industrial Painter is a full-time, on-site role located in Grand Haven, MI. This role is responsible for preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming parts according to specifications. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and operating spray equipment or other application tools, and applying finishes to metal and other industrial components to meet quality standards. The Industrial Painter inspects completed work for coverage, thickness, and appearance, performs touch-ups as needed, and follows established safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and ventilation systems. The role also involves maintaining a clean work area, performing routine equipment checks, and coordinating with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in industrial or automotive painting, including surface preparation, masking, priming, and spray application techniques.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and basic technical specifications related to coatings and finishes.
- Experience with hand tools and painting equipment, such as spray guns, sanders, and related industrial finishing tools.
- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to visually inspect parts for defects and proper coverage.
- Reliability in maintaining attendance, meeting production deadlines, and working effectively as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
