What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Aide / Strength & Conditioning Coach position at Seattle Sports Institute & Physical Therapy?
Seattle Sports Institute & Physical Therapy is a private sector facility that specializes in the rehabilitation and training of elite level athletes. We are located in Downtown Kirkland on a Lake Washington waterfront facility
For those interested in working in high level sports, we offer a unique opportunity to consistently work with professional, collegiate, and competitive high-school level athletes. Experienced Certified Strength & Conditioning Coaches are also encouraged to apply (CSCS preferred), as those interested in pursuing a long-term career in sports physical therapy are highly encouraged to apply.
Daily responsibilities of our Strength & Conditioning Coach:
1. Assist the physical therapists and strength & conditioning coach on a daily basis, under the direct supervision of a Doctor of Physical Therapy
2. Assist in designing individualized strength and conditioning programs for our professional athletes recovering from injury, in collaboration with the sports physical therapist and other strength & conditioning coaches
3. Directly work with professional athletes, under the direct supervision of the physical therapist, to execute programs and external training plans to support athletes’ progress outside of the facility (digital templates exercise videos)
4. Assist in maintaining the gym space, including equipment set-up / take-down, executing safety protocols, and maintaining an overall safe training environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
5. Additional PT Aide roles will be minimal, but will include: assisting the physical therapist with athlete care and treatment (modality set-up, VALD force frame / force decks operation, and treatment room clean-up)
Schedule - 10-30 total hours / week

Requirements:
- Undergraduate diploma or equivalent (experience in science field preferred)
- Exceptional organizational skills, communication, professionalism in front of patient, and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in computer skills: data entry, Canvas marketing, social media platforms, and reel production. Must have personal laptop
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Minimum 1-2 year contract commitment required

Pay: $17.13 - $30.00 per hour
