GENERAL SUMMARY
A Career & Technical Education (CTE) middle school teacher performs under the general direction of the building principal or program manager with assistance from appropriate staff personnel and district CTE staff. A CTE teacher fosters and enhances an effective and safe learning environment; facilitates the development or revision of approved CTE curriculum and instructional materials; establishes learning objectives and standards based upon general District guidelines and Washington State Career & Technical Education Program Standards; provides instruction, counsels, disciplines, and supervises to meet the individual needs of assigned students; and, to evaluate student performance and progress.?
A CTE high school teacher is required to keep his/her certification current.?45%
- Demonstrate the ability to design, facilitate and evaluate effective student learning in a safe environment based on CTE approved curriculum frameworks??

- Implement the CTE standards for specific CTE program including: practicing work place ethics and emulating workplace standards, student leadership, employability and connecting with specific related industry

- Provide learning opportunities for students to connect with family, community, business and government
