Landscape Design Consultant

Position Overview

Seattle Landscape Designs is seeking a motivated, career-driven Landscape Design Consultant Trainee to join our growing team. This role begins with training in appointment setting, cold calling, email outreach, and in-person sales strategies. As you progress, you’ll transition into a Landscape Design Consultant role, where you will meet clients onsite, design and sell custom landscape construction projects, and manage the sales cycle from initial contact to contract.

This position offers a competitive base salary with unlimited earning potential through commissions, providing top performers the ability to make $200K annually.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound appointment setting via phone, email, and in-person outreach
• Develop new business through cold calls, networking, and creative sales strategies
• Manage customer leads and sales pipeline within CRM software
• Attend sales appointments, present proposals, and build strong client relationships
• Learn to design and sell landscaping, hardscaping, decks, retaining walls, and outdoor living projects
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate proposals and smooth project handoff
• Maintain organized records of all client interactions and follow-up activity
• Consistently work toward monthly and annual sales goals

Qualifications & Experience

• Prior experience in sales, territory management, or customer relationship management preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Motivated self-starter with a proven ability to achieve and exceed goals
• Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple prospects at once
• Comfort with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work full-time, in-office (no remote work)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Bonus Points For:

• Background in construction, landscaping, or design-build industries
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk frequently during client meetings and site visits
• Occasional lifting of materials or samples (up to 25 lbs)
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions
