The Radiology Intern will engage with patients, families, and staff, assisting with wayfinding, cleaning equipment, and stocking supplies. This position will provide firsthand experience in understanding how diagnostic imaging exams are performed. Intern will have the opportunity to gain exposure to different modalities within the diagnostic imaging setting.

Support patients, families, and staff in the Radiology Clinic

  • Clean equipment and turn over exam rooms
  • Escort patients from waiting room to exam room and in between radiology departments
  • Supply the patient with a gown and give the patient verbal instructions about how to put on the gown
  • Stock linens and supplies in the exam rooms
  • Operate wheelchair to transport outpatients between units
  • Engage in developmentally appropriate activities with siblings of patients while the patient is getting an exam
  • Other related administrative or support tasks as assigned

Maintain Compliance With Hospital And Departmental Standards

  • Complete organizational and departmental training
  • Demonstrate knowledge of infection prevention, hospital safety and emergency procedures
  • Follow all policies and guidelines outlined in the Volunteer Agreement
  • Protect and maintain privacy and confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff and other volunteers
  • Maintain annual health screening requirements

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
