Seattle Children's is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Cardiologist to join our established Alaska-based practice. For over 25 years, our Alaska team has lived and worked in-state, providing high-quality cardiac care and fostering a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion for all Alaskans.

The Role & Practice Environment

This position offers a unique "hybrid" career path: the independence and community impact of a local pediatric cardiologist combined with the world-class resources and academic support of Seattle Children’s Hospital (ranked among the nation's best).

  • Collaborative Team: Join a two-provider practice supported by a dedicated team of RNs, specialized sonographers, and administrative staff.

  • Clinical Breadth: Manage a highly variable practice including general pediatric cardiology, fetal cardiology, and consultation for infants through young adults.

  • Regional Outreach: While based in Anchorage, you will travel (same-day or overnight) to 11 outreach sites across the state, including:

    • Bethel, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Nome, Sitka, Soldotna, Wasilla, and Dillingham.

  • Advanced Support: Enjoy 24/7 access to the Heart Center’s multidisciplinary team in Seattle, providing a seamless continuum of care from prenatal consultations to complex cardiac surgery.

Required Education/Experience:

- MD Degree.

- Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at Seattle Children's and other sites as applicable.

Required Credentials:

- Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska.

- Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics and/or specialty as applicable.

- Federal DEA Registration.

- Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.

Compensation

$460,736 - $519,175 per year

  

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
