The Coordinator will provide the essential role of the foremost personnel at the entrance to surgical and procedural care delivery locations. This position serves as a primary point of contact for all nonclinical updates and logistics for patient and caregiver movement during the surgical and procedural day of surgery encounter. Partners with surgical and procedural leadership, providers, and service line scheduling coordinators to provide clinical continuity of care. Creates new registrations for patients, updates patient information, arrives patients for their visits, and provides excellent customer experience for patients/caregivers. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum two (2) years of customer service or of administrative support experience. Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience using computers with a high degree of accuracy. Required Credentials Must complete Epic Training and obtain a passing score on EUPA test within two (2) weeks of start date Preferred Associate’s Degree or at least two (2) years of college coursework in health care or related field. Prior data entry/clerical office experience or training. Significant experience working with the general public in a healthcare environment. Auditing experience. Familiarity with multiple cultures/bilingual skills. Experience in Epic Cadence and/or EPIC Optime or other medical scheduling software. Compensation Range $23.15 - $34.73 per hour Salary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
