About the Seattle Cascades:
The Seattle Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps is a nonprofit performing arts organization that combines athletic performance and musical excellence in a national touring environment. Each summer, the corps trains and performs across the U.S., providing athletic training coverage to approximately 150 performers during daily rehearsals and stadium performances.
Position Overview:
We are seeking Certified Athletic Trainers to join our medical team for our 2025 summer season. This is a paid, short-term position ideal for athletic trainers looking for a nontraditional, hands-on experience in performing arts medicine, environmental management, and travel-based healthcare.
You’ll work alongside other athletic trainers and medical staff to provide daily care, injury management, and emergency support for performers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide athletic training services during rehearsals, performances, and travel days
- Perform injury evaluation, taping, first aid, and rehabilitation support
- Monitor hydration, weather, and environmental safety
- Maintain medical documentation and assist with incident reporting
- Collaborate with staff to promote member health and wellness
Schedule & Compensation:
- Dates: June 8 – August 9, 2025
- Spring Training: June 8–26 (Portland, OR area)
- Touring Season: June 27–August 9 (nationwide)
- Pay: $100/day
- Housing, meals, transportation, and medical supplies provided
- Flexible contracts available (minimum 2 weeks)
Qualifications:
- BOC-certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) or eligible
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Eligible for Washington State Licensure (temporary permit supported)
- Ability to work in dynamic outdoor environments and travel in a team setting
