Field Installation Quality Assurance Supervisor

Location: Local Service Area
Job Type: Full-Time | Salaried
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with occasional extended hours as needed. This is a local position with employees home most evenings.

We are seeking an experienced Field Installation Quality Assurance Supervisor to help ensure every installation meets our high standards while developing and supporting our installation team.

The Field Installation Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all residential HVAC installations are completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with:

• Company installation standards and procedures
• Approved scope of work
• Manufacturer installation specifications
• Local building and mechanical codes
• Company quality and customer service expectations

This position serves as both an inspector and a mentor, providing field coaching, identifying training opportunities, and helping our installation department continually improve.

• Conduct scheduled and random field inspections of HVAC installation projects.
• Verify installations comply with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes.
• Ensure work matches the approved scope of work and sales proposal.
• Identify installation deficiencies and develop corrective action plans.
• Coach and mentor installation technicians to improve workmanship and consistency.
• Document inspections with photographs and detailed notes.
• Monitor recurring installation issues and recommend process improvements.
• Verify proper startup, commissioning, and system performance.
• Ensure all required installation documentation is complete and accurate.
• Work closely with the Installation Manager to maintain high-quality standards across the department.
• Assist with installer training and implementation of new procedures and best practices.
• Promote a culture focused on quality, accountability, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Required

• Minimum 5–7 years of residential HVAC installation or service experience.
• Extensive knowledge of residential HVAC systems and installation practices.
• Strong understanding of local mechanical and building codes.
• EPA Certification.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
• Ability to read installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
• Ability to lift equipment and work in attic, crawlspace, and outdoor environments when necessary.

Preferred

• Previous experience leading, training, or supervising HVAC technicians.
• Strong troubleshooting and commissioning experience.
