Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines and serging equipment to assemble garments and upholstery with precision and consistency
- Measure fabric and materials accurately using measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and dimensions
- Cut fabric manually with accuracy, following detailed patterns and specifications
- Construct garments by sewing seams, attaching components, and performing finishing touches according to quality standards in production
- Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and movement of fabrics and components
- Maintain safety standards in production areas by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate protective equipment
- Conduct dimensional measurements during various stages of production to verify accuracy and quality compliance
- Perform embroidery or decorative stitching as required for specific designs or custom orders
Qualifications
- Experience with industrial sewing machinery
- Proven experience in garment sewing, upholstery, or related manufacturing fields with a strong understanding of seam construction and garment assembly
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines, including industrial sewing machines and sergers (overlock machines)
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as rulers, tape measures, and pattern gauges
- Knowledge of quality standards in production to ensure finished products meet specifications
- Ability to manually cut fabric accurately while following detailed patterns or templates
- Understanding of safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workspace
- Experience handling various fabric materials, including textiles used in clothing or upholstery projects
- Warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with materials handling and inventory management
