What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Seasons of Santaquin Assisted Living and Memory Care?
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented housekeeper to join our team. This position requires someone who can maintain a clean and organized environment while performing light yard work, basic maintenance tasks and occasional lifting. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean all assigned areas including but not limited to resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, hallways, nursing stations, handrails, dining rooms, shower rooms, public bathrooms and offices as assigned.
- Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition. Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies.
- Empties wastebaskets, transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Follow established safety precautions when using cleaning chemicals and use as directed. Adhere to OSHA, State and Federal safety standard precaution
- Ensure equipment is clean and safely stored at the end of shift.
- Light Maintenance painting and filling holes.
- Some yardwork pulling weeds and watering plants
- Move or lift furniture and other items as needed (up to 25-50 lbs)
- Communicate effectively in English with supervisors, team members, and owners.
Requirements:
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must to able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be over 18
- Strong desire to care for Elderly
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and carry 25 lbs.
- Must pass a background check
