Responsibilities

- Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently.
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and health; apply appropriate horticultural practices.
- Manage irrigation systems to optimize water usage and maintain consistent moisture levels across landscaped areas.
- Conduct pest management activities by applying pesticides responsibly following safety protocols to protect plants and the environment.
- Maintain grounds by performing tasks such as planting new greenery, removing debris, snow plowing during winter months, and caring for trees through trimming or pruning.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or gardening is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, planting, pruning, and hardscape installation.
- Familiarity with operating various grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, irrigation systems, and lawn care machinery.
- Understanding of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management practices.
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols while handling equipment and chemicals in outdoor settings.
- Experience with snow plowing or winter groundskeeping is a plus but not required.
