Fertilizer & Weed Control Technician

This position is responsible for applying fertilizer and weed control applications to residential and commercial properties while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently throughout the day.

Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizer and weed control treatments safely and accurately to residential and commercial properties.
- Diagnose turf issues including weeds, insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain stand-on and ride-on spray equipment.
- Read and follow product labels while complying with all Minnesota Department of Agriculture regulations.
- Keep accurate application records using company software.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding lawn conditions and treatment recommendations.
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Safely load, transport, and handle fertilizer and pesticide products.
- Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and equipment.
- Assist with snow removal operations during the winter season.
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota Category A & E Fertilizer Applicator License.
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with a clean driving record.
- DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
- Previous fertilizer and weed control experience preferred.
- Experience operating stand-on spray equipment such as a Z-Spray is preferred.
- Ability to identify common Minnesota turf weeds and lawn issues.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
