We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic - Yardman to join our team, specializing in small engine repair and maintenance. Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on small engines, including lawnmowers, line trimmers, blowers, and other outdoor power equipment including trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively
- Conduct heavy lifting of equipment and parts safely to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other specialized tools accurately
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inventory of parts and tools
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks when necessary, including basic automotive repairs or diesel engine servicing
- Support the yard operations by organizing equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and assisting with sales or customer service as needed
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on small engine repair or equipment maintenance
- Service technician background highly preferred
- Strong understanding of schematics, electrical systems, and mechanical components of various machinery
- Experience repairing diesel engines or heavy equipment such as Bobcat and Hyundai machinery is advantageous
- Familiarity with automotive service maintenance techniques and heavy lifting safety procedures
- Knowledge of welding, soldering, and electrical troubleshooting techniques a major plus
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate clearly

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
