We are hiring Landscaping Crew Leaders/Drivers & Landscaping Crew Members for landscaping maintenance and projects throughout Rhode Island. Experience using commercial mowers, weed whackers, blowers, etc is a must! Looking for Crew Leaders/Drivers or Crew Members with 2 years of Experience in All Phases of Landscaping. Previous Crew Leader/Foreman experience is a plus for those wanting to be Crew Leaders.
Crew Leaders must be experienced in Driving dump body trucks with equipment trailers and have a valid Driver's License.

Candidates should be flexible and available to work extended hours when needed as well as Saturdays. Snow Plowing/Shoveling work also available in winter.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, edging, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and plant health across different landscapes
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote safety and aesthetic appeal
• Execute hardscape projects like patio installation, walkway construction, retaining walls, and other masonry work with precision
• Provide lawn care services such as aeration, overseeding, and fertilization to enhance turf quality
• Maintain equipment and tools regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met

Qualifications

• Proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related construction fields.
• Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing & aeration
• Ability to perform landscape maintenance tasks with attention to detail and efficiency
• Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming, pruning, and removal procedures
• Strong understanding of gardening principles and plant health management
• Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when needed
• Lawn installation (sod/seed/loam) experience
• Mulching & Edging
• Mowing, Trimming, Cleanups
• Hardworking, dependable, & punctual

Crew Leaders/Drivers also must have experience in the following areas:

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Comfortable driving dump body truck w/trailer
• Operating a commercial lawnmower/mowing crew
• Strong communication skills with crew members & customers
• Strong plant knowledge and ability to identify
• Ability to identify any potential or existing problems
• Trimming shrubs/hedges
• Mulching and edging
• Grading
• Proper plant installation experience & Ability to identify plants
• Small hardscape installation (bluestone, natural stone, pavers) and/or Synthetic Turf installation experience a plus!

• Heavy Equipment/Skidsteer operation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Riding Mower: 2 years (Preferred)

• Shrub/Hedge/Tree Trimming: 2 years (Preferred)
• Plant Installation & Removal: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mulch Installation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Spring and Fall Cleanups: 1 year (Preferred)
• Hardscape Installation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Artificial Turf Installation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Sod Installation: 1 year (Preferred)
