Catering Chef

We are looking for an experienced Catering Chef to lead a team of culinarians in our corporate catering division. Must have a strong culinary skill set, good time management skills, familiarity with new culinary trends, upscale menu development, and high volume production experience. Candidate's responsibilities include but not limited to ordering all product, coordinating food preparation and possibly help at offsite events. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience in a catering supervisor role and solid organizational abilities. Ultimately, you will ensure that we run an efficient safe kitchen. Normal hour of operation are Monday to Friday with mostly Breakfast and Lunch offsite events. Afternoon, evening and weekend events occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily menus for breakfast and lunch orders with Corporate Catering Manager
• Schedule kitchen staff shifts
• Train and manage kitchen personnel
• Oversee all food prep for events
• Keep COGS and operating expenses in-line within set budget
• Manage inventory and place orders as needed
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Skills

• Work experience as a Catering Chef or similar role
• Strong culinary skill set,
• Familiarity with new culinary trends and upscale menu development
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under stressful circumstances
• Certification in hospitality or culinary management is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills required. Candidates will have a minimum of 7 years catering experience in a high volume establishment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
