Hello, I am a co-founder of the New Jersey-based marketing agency Season 4. Our primary work is operating the website ClassAction.org, which we use to generate leads for our attorney clients and report on consumer-focused legal news. We are looking for a Junior Content Writer to join our growing team.
Our ideal candidate must have:
-Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Writing, Communications or a related field
-Extremely strong writing skills
-Strong grammar, proofreading and editing abilities
-Familiarity with AP style and journalistic writing
-The ability to comprehend and digest complex topics and clearly and effectively communicate them to readers
-Willingness to learn new platforms, including content management and case-search system
-Willingness to learn best practices for online writing, such as on-page SEO strategies
-The ability to commute to our Warren, NJ office 2 days a week
What you’ll work on:
-Writing, on a daily basis, multiple news stories covering lawsuits, settlements and dismissals for publication on our legal newswire (legal knowledge/experience not required)
-Proofreading and editing content before publication
-Uploading work to custom content management system
-Following “beats” for lawsuits and settlements being monitored
-Working closely with managing editor and content team
