What You'll Do:
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders to plan and execute machining operations.
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision components that meet exact customer requirements.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine attachments to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Verify incoming materials and ensure all job requirements are accurate before production begins.
- Monitor machining operations, inspect parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machining processes, equipment issues, and programming challenges to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify tolerances and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Perform calculations involving geometry, trigonometry, and machining principles to support complex setups and production requirements.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and monitor machine performance to ensure reliable operation.
- Collaborate with team members across shifts, sharing critical job information and process improvements.
