Medical Administrative Assistant
MUST be able to work directly to collect Medical Data from the patient
- Answer phone calls
- Schedule appointments
- Collect copays and update medical records
- Administrative tasks : filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
- Coordinate the office flow for PROVIDER
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare team member to ensure smooth operations
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in using phone systems and office equipment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry on accounts and payment balances
-Prep areas between patients, clean, stock, order supplies
- Use of medical record software, scheduler, EMR
- Willingness to open and close the facility
The Medical Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Provider and ensuring the smooth flow of operations at the practice.
Note: College level courses a plus, management experience a plus
