Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Family Nurse Practitioner role based in Beaufort, NC. The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services, including conducting patient assessments, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include managing acute and chronic conditions, providing preventive care, delivering patient education, and coordinating care with other clinicians and staff. The role also involves timely documentation in the medical record, medication management, follow-up visits, and supporting quality improvement and practice protocols. The Family Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure efficient, patient-centered care for individuals and families.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner, including experience in primary care and family medicine.
- Strong background in Nursing, with the ability to deliver holistic, patient-centered care across diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Primary Care, including management of chronic diseases, preventive care, and wellness counseling.
- Experience in Medicine and Urgent Care, including evaluation and treatment of common acute conditions and minor emergencies.
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (or eligibility) in North Carolina; national certification as an FNP strongly preferred.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS certification is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently within a collaborative team, with strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to respectful, inclusive patient care.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and comfort with basic healthcare technology.
- Previous experience in outpatient family practice or community health is preferred but not required.
