Seaside Equity Partners, founded in 2017, is a San Diego based private equity firm focused on investing in lower middle-market business services companies headquartered in the Western U.S. The firm focuses on majority control investments in family/founder-owned businesses and partners with management teams to accelerate growth and to transition their businesses to institutional quality.
Since inception, Seaside has completed over 75 transactions. In 2025, the firm closed two new buyout funds - Fund III and Navigator I - raising more than $720 million in total commitments. Fund III secured $568 million and Navigator I $155 million in limited partner capital, with both funds significantly oversubscribed.
Position Overview
Associate will be involved in all aspects of the investment process including working on executing platform and add-on acquisitions, monitoring and managing portfolio companies and sourcing new opportunities. Associates will work directly alongside other investment professionals and will be involved in due diligence, valuation analysis, and the negotiating of contracts and other agreements. The relatively small team size allows associates to interface directly with all internal members of the firm, management teams and external advisors.
Areas of Responsibility
- Assist in the evaluation and execution of platform and add-on acquisitions
- Conduct business due diligence and in-depth market research
- Develop financial models and draft investment memoranda
- Participate in all aspects of investment process including site visits, management communications/presentations and negotiations
- Collaborate closely with portfolio company management teams on value creation initiatives
- Source investments through thematic thesis development as well through external intermediaries
Qualifications and Competencies

- 1 years of experience in investment banking/consulting/private equity
