We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support and cooking experience. This role is crucial in promoting the well-being and independence of our clients while ensuring a clean and safe environment. The schedule is set.
Responsibilities
- Work as PCA in the dining room and front end.
- Have cooking experience in the kitchen.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene if needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed.
- Cleaning kitchen
- Individual laundry
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that enhance their quality of life.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
- Collaborate with other in-house healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in direct support or caregiving.
- Cooking and/or cleaning experience.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic health care practices.
- Ability to perform tasks safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques for individuals with disabilities.
