We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about quality food and love working in a fast-paced environment. In addition to picking orders, each team member must be able to perform multiple roles necessary to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations.
At present, we are recruiting for night shift positions.
Responsibilities:
* Ability to read and understand order picking sheets.
* General understanding of computer-based inventory systems.
* Communicate with the supervisor to ensure that the orders are being picked in the correct timeline to coincide with the way that the routes are leaving the warehouse.
* Identify and communicate issues related to food safety, product quality, etc. to the supervisor.
* Stage orders for our loaders, allowing them to load trucks in an orderly way.
* Knowledge of “FIFO” - First In, First Out.
* Work professionally and efficiently in a cold/refrigerated environment.
* General understanding of computer-based inventory systems.
* Extensive understanding of fresh produce— including food safety, quality, warehousing, storage, and shipping.
* Ability to use general warehouse equipment (e.g. hand jacks, power jacks, and forklifts).
* Learn to “build” pallets of product.
* General cleaning skills.
* Perform related duties as assigned by management.
* Be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment. Prior experience as an Order Picker is strongly preferred.
- Ability to navigate our company technologies (CRM, ERP, and routing programs).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- Proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading English is strongly preferred. This competency is critical for training purposes and understanding the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all safety guidelines.
- Outstanding organization skills are a plus
- Pass pre-employment testing (background and drug screen).
