Job Description
Sears Monument Company is hiring a dependable, hardworking team member to assist with memorial installations. This is a hands-on outdoor position that includes physical labor, driving company vehicles, working with tools, and traveling to cemeteries throughout the region.
Our installation crew leaves from the Charleston plant each morning and returns to the plant each day.
Responsibilities
- Report to the plant and be ready to work at 7:00 AM
- Load memorials, tools, and installation equipment
- Travel to local cemeteries and installation sites
- Prepare foundations
- Install granite and bronze memorials
- Safely move and position heavy materials
- Drive company vehicles on highways, backroads, and cemetery roads
- Assist with inventory, plant organization, equipment, and general maintenance
- Work efficiently with the crew to complete the scheduled installations each day
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic equipment
- Basic mechanical or maintenance skills
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn memorial installation techniques
- Previous construction, landscaping, concrete, equipment, or outdoor labor experience is helpful but not required
