Field Diagnostics Technician — Home Appliances

The role at a glance

Join our Peekskill, NY team to troubleshoot and restore essential home appliances. You will be the expert customers rely on to quickly identify issues, perform reliable repairs, and provide clear guidance on process and cost.

Core functions

• Diagnose malfunctions in refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens.
• Execute repairs and preventive maintenance across multiple brands and models.
• Set expectations with customers, detailing scope, steps, and pricing.
• Record every service call, including work performed, parts consumed, and client communications.
• Stay current with emerging appliance technologies and repair approaches.
• Uphold an orderly, well-stocked vehicle and a tidy tool set.
• Comply with safety guidelines and job-site protocols at all times.

Required capabilities

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework in appliance repair preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in appliance service or a comparable field role.
• Proven troubleshooting ability and comfort working solo in the field.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances and work in diverse environments.
• Working knowledge of appliance electrical and mechanical components.

Location

This position is based in Peekskill, NY, with daily travel to customer locations in the area.
