What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at SearchStars?
The 100 year old company has annual revenues of between $15 & $20mm. They provide custom forgings, bar stock, heat treating and rough machining.
Key responsibilities will include :
- Overseeing the operations of accounting
- All aspects of AP / AR
- Timely preparation of financial statements
- Issue financial statements to the Board of Directors
- Prepare additional financial reports as requested
- Develop budget and forecasts with the Board of Directors
- Maintain accounting records
- Work with outside accounting firm for completion of the annual financial statement review
- Work with outside accounting firm for completion of company tax returns
- Work with outside accounting firm for completion of the ownership tax returns
- Work with outside accounting firm for completion of the retirement plan annual audit.
- Approve Payroll
- Keep financial information, records and plans confidential
- Comply with all GAAP
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshopsand reviewing professional publications
