Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Insurance Underwriter with experience in commercial lines. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, including expertise in writing both non-admitted and admitted risks. Also have effective communication skills and a passion for building long-term relationships with brokers and clients.

Responsibilities:
- Market and negotiate with brokers and carriers.
- Assist brokers in writing new business for their clients.
- Examine and evaluate documents, applications, reports, etc.
- Solve problems, resolve conflicts, and collaborate effectively with teams.
- Obtain quotes/rates and explain company underwriting policies and offers.
- Service existing accounts and present proposals.
- Determine risk and market selection for renewals as well as new business.
- Bind risks within authority and broker risks beyond authority.
- Prepare submissions for rating and handling by the support staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance underwriting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year's experience for Assistant Underwriter
positions and three years for Underwriter positions. - Experience in writing both non-admitted and admitted risks.
- Comfortable speaking with brokers and building lasting relationships with independent
insurance agencies. - Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Market knowledge and interest in networking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
