Credit Analyst

Search Solution Group is seeking a Credit Analyst on behalf of our client, a member-owned, full-service credit union. The Credit Analyst will play a critical role in evaluating the financial health of commercial borrowers by analyzing financial statements, assessing credit risk, and supporting sound lending decisions. This position is responsible for conducting financial reviews, monitoring loan performance, ensuring compliance with lending guidelines, and providing recommendations to support the Commercial Lending team.

• Perform annual financial reviews for commercial lending relationships.
• Analyze and spread business tax returns, business financial statements, personal tax returns, and personal financial statements for new and existing credits.
• Complete credit monitoring activities, including:
  
  • Financial statement analysis
  • Borrowing base reviews
  • Covenant testing
  • Marketable securities monitoring
  • Leveraged lending monitoring
• Prepare preliminary credit recommendations for Commercial Department Management.
• Attend and participate in loan committee meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and internal credit standards.
• Maintain accurate financial information and compliance tracking records.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Commercial Loan Policies and applicable NCUA regulations related to member business lending.
• Stay current on underwriting procedures, industry regulations, and credit analysis best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support effective credit decisions and lending operations.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.

• 2 years of prior Commercial Analyst or Commercial Lending experience preferred.
• Experience with financial statement analysis, credit review, or underwriting preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and make sound recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• No specific certifications required.
• Ongoing professional development and training will be provided.

• Understanding of financial statements, tax returns, and credit analysis processes.
• Knowledge of commercial lending practices and underwriting principles.
• Familiarity with credit policies, compliance requirements, and lending regulations.
• Working knowledge of Commercial Loan Policies and NCUA regulations related to member business lending preferred.
